How We Can Help: Suicide Prevention Help for Everyone

Suicide is the biggest killer of adults under 35 in the UK, and each year more than 7,000 people lose their lives to it. Behind every one of those numbers is a person, a family and a community.

At The Jordan Legacy, we believe most suicides are preventable — and that everyone can play a part in moving towards a "zero suicide society". Whoever you are and whatever has brought you here, this page will help you find the right support.

For more than 11 years, Steve ran a successful consultancy practice, providing coaching, training and keynote speaking in social media, sales and marketing.

On 4 December 2019, he received a call that would change his life forever — his son Jordan had taken his own life.

Faced with the choice of sitting on a sofa with a bottle, or creating something to prevent other families experiencing the trauma of suicide loss, Steve chose the latter. He established The Jordan Legacy CIC to bring hope to people who are feeling suicidal, and to engage everyone who shares his ambition of a zero suicide society.

Steve co-creates and delivers the organisation's suicide prevention activities and strategies, develops partner opportunities, and presents workshops and talks on mental wellbeing and suicide prevention.

His lived experience, combined with an audience of almost 60,000 LinkedIn followers, means his story continues to reach millions worldwide. He has been invited to speak about suicide prevention to the Government's Cabinet Office, the Department of Health & Social Care, the Home Office, the MOD and other Westminster departments, as well as corporate businesses and the military.
