The Knowledge Exchange – Sharing knowledge, learning and practice in suicide prevention
The Knowledge Exchange is a new online platform designed to bring together examples of suicide prevention, intervention and postvention initiatives from across the UK. The aim is to make it easier for people and organisations working in suicide prevention and postvention to showcase their initiative or project, share their knowledge, learn from one another and for commissioners to know what is available. The Exchange is a project of One Voice, One Hope (OVOH), the national suicide prevention collaborative initiative being incubated by The Jordan Legacy.
The Exchange is currently going through Beta testing and is due to launch before the end of 2026.

Why is a knowledge exchange needed?
There are more and more excellent signposting resources for the general public. But nothing yet exists at a national level for the people doing the work.
Professionals, third sector organisations and lived experience advocates often can't see practical examples of suicide prevention, intervention or postvention initiatives beyond their own region or sector. Brilliant, life-saving initiatives stay locked in silos.
The Knowledge Exchange will change that — making evidence-based examples of what works visible to everyone involved in suicide prevention, intervention and postvention.

How is it different from the Hub of Hope?
The idea was inspired by a conversation with Jake Mills, founder of the charity Chasing the Stigma and its national signposting website, the Hub of Hope. Jake is also a member of the OVOH Core Group.
The two resources are complementary but different:
Hub of Hope
— helps the public find mental health and suicide support near them
Knowledge Exchange — helps those working in suicide prevention share research projects and practical initiatives with each other

What will you find on the Hub?
- Evidence-based examples of good practice, and emerging good practice, from across the UK
- Research projects and practical initiatives that are making a measurable contribution to saving lives
- Ideas and inspiration to strengthen your own suicide prevention work
Who is behind the project?
The Hub is being developed by a Good Practices Hub Working Group within One Voice, One Hope, on a 6–9 month development plan through 2026 — with a soft launch planned for summer 2026 and an official launch by World Suicide Prevention Day (10 September) 2026.

Initial seed funding of £10,000 has been provided by The Royal Foundation of The Prince and Princess of Wales. The Jordan Legacy was invited to become an Innovation Partner with The Royal Foundation's National Suicide Prevention Network on World Mental Health Day 2025.
Get involved
Do you have an example of good practice in suicide prevention that others could learn from? Or would you like updates as the Hub develops?
