Volunteer With Us and Help Prevent Suicide

What we believe

"Most kids looked up to Jordan. He was fiercely loyal and would always stand up for the underdog, publicly confronting bullies or those who would mock others."

Not everyone can give money — but everyone has something to give. When you volunteer for a mental health organisation like The Jordan Legacy, you give the most valuable things of all: your time, your skills and your care.

Thousands of lives are lost to suicide in the UK every year. We believe everyone can play a part in preventing suicide — and our volunteers prove it every day.

Skills-based volunteering: what we need

As a small not-for-profit with a big mission, the professional skills of our volunteers genuinely shape what we can achieve. We would especially love to hear from you if you can offer:

  • Fundraising — help us plan campaigns, approach supporters and grow our income.
  • IT and digital — support our systems, website and technology.
  • Creative skills — design, writing, photography, video and storytelling that bring our message to life.
  • Project management — help us deliver our work efficiently and well.
  • Don't see your skills listed? Tell us anyway — there is almost always a way to help.

Why volunteer with The Jordan Legacy?

  • Make a real difference. Your skills directly support life-saving suicide prevention work.
  • Use what you're good at. Skills-based volunteering means doing what you do best, for a cause that matters.
  • Be part of something hopeful. Join a warm, purposeful community working towards a future where fewer lives are lost to suicide.

Volunteering through your workplace

Volunteering through your workplace

Many employers encourage staff to volunteer their professional skills for good causes. If your organisation would like to get involved, we would love to talk — and you may also want to explore a corporate partnership.

How to get started

Volunteering with us begins with a simple, friendly conversation. Tell us a little about yourself, your skills and how much time you can offer, and we will find the right fit together.

Email hello@thejordanlegacy.com or call 0300 102 1612 to get started. If volunteering isn't right for you just now, there are many other ways to support our work — including fundraising.

Thank you for considering giving your time. It means more than you know.
