Steve Phillip

Founder and Director

For more than 11 years, Steve ran a successful consultancy practice, providing coaching, training and keynote speaking in social media, sales and marketing.

On 4 December 2019, he received a call that would change his life forever — his son Jordan had taken his own life.

Faced with the choice of sitting on a sofa with a bottle, or creating something to prevent other families experiencing the trauma of suicide loss, Steve chose the latter. He established The Jordan Legacy CIC to bring hope to people who are feeling suicidal, and to engage everyone who shares his ambition of a zero suicide society.

Steve co-creates and delivers the organisation's suicide prevention activities and strategies, develops partner opportunities, and presents workshops and talks on mental wellbeing and suicide prevention.

His lived experience, combined with an audience of almost 60,000 LinkedIn followers, means his story continues to reach millions worldwide. He has been invited to speak about suicide prevention to the Government's Cabinet Office, the Department of Health & Social Care, the Home Office, the MOD and other Westminster departments, as well as corporate businesses and the military.

Danielle Phillip

Operational Support

Danielle is Jordan's sister. For 17 years she worked at a Lancashire primary school, helping young people navigate the start of their journey in life.

As time passed after losing her brother, Danielle felt a growing need to honour his memory. A conversation with her dad led to a huge leap out of her comfort zone: in August 2021, she left her teaching assistant role to join The Jordan Legacy.

Danielle manages The Jordan Legacy's social media platforms and content, and provides administrative support for events and suicide prevention activities across the organisation.

The Jordan Legacy "Sistas" Rugby Teams

Our team extends onto the rugby pitch. What began in 2022 with the Mo Bros Rugby Team carrying our logo across the UK, Europe and the Middle East became, in 2023, The Jordan Legacy Rugby Team — with a particular focus on the women's game.

Made up of players from Europe and beyond, wearing Jordan's name on their kits, the Sistas spread suicide prevention awareness wherever they play. Highlights include cup finalists at the Dubai Rugby 7s in 2024, winning the Cape Town 10s final in February 2025 (with both our teams contesting the final!), and reaching the final of the Amsterdam 7s in 2025.

Would you like your company's name on the kit? To discuss sponsorship, email jordanlegacyrugby@gmail.com.
